SAME Matchmaking is your opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with government agencies and large businesses. These short 10-minute sessions allow each side to get to know each other through sharing upcoming opportunities, requirements and capabilities.
Matchmaking is coordinated through registration sign up. If you are interested in matchmaking as a host (Government, Non-Profit, Academia, Large Business) or a Small Business participant, please indicate during check out.

📢 The elevator at Capital Turnaround is working! Sessions will be located on the 2nd Floor. You can use the elevator in the exhibit hall or the stairs located behind the coffee station on the South Side of the conference center.

During individual registration, choose if your firm would like to participate in Matchmaking as a
Small Business (1-100 employees; or small business classification status)
Host Only - Med/Large Business (101+ employees)
Host Only - Government Agency / Non-Profit Organization
Only those that expressed an interest in matchmaking during individual registration, or by contacting our Matchmaking team at samesbcmatchmaking@gmail.com will receive an email from the Matchmaking Coordination Team on how to sign up as a host Med/Large Business or host Government Agency / Non-Profit Organization.
As a small business, you will receive a notice approximately 2 week prior to the conference with a link to the Matchmaking conference scheduling program to choose your times and firms/orgs that you wish to meet with.
The number of spots available is limited to the number of firms or organizations that sign up. We encourage all firms and organizations to participate.
The matchmaking appointment portal will open Tuesday, July 1 at 10AM ET. Be prepared to set your appointments, as agency appointments tend to fill up very quickly!
To ensure a smooth experience, we highly recommend setting up your user portal BEFORE the matchmaking goes live here. The link to the Portal will be shared in an email to 1) those that are already registered, 2) Indicated they are interested in Matchmaking, 3) Listed themselves as a small business (SAME classification is 1-100 employees, or federally classified).
Matchmaking appointments are for small businesses only (SAME considers a small business with up to 100 employees and also those with federal small classifications).
Matchmaking will be held in the upstairs room adjacent to the upstairs lunch location. You can use the elevator in the expo hall or the stairs next to the coffee station on the south side of the building to access matchmaking.
Sessions are held concurrently with main stage programming on Wednesday, July 9 only, in 10 minute appointment sessions:
• 11:00 am – 11:50 am
• 2:00 pm – 3:50 pm
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
Be on time for your appointments. Each session is only 10 minutes, so don’t waste any of it!
Leave the table when your time is up. You must leave as soon as the next attendee arrives.
Bring your business cards and capability statement to share/leave with the table host of your session.
HOW TO SIGNUP AND REGISTER FOR MATCHMAKING SESSIONS
Create your user portal account before matchmaking opens here so that you can access/edit your appointments later. (check your email for the link to the portal or contact us at samesbcmatchmaking@gmail.com)
Choose the agency or business you would like to meet with.
Choose the date/time you would like, and select “Continue”
Complete your information. If you want to provide additional information about your business for the person you are meeting with, fill in at the bottom.
Select “Complete Appointment”
Choose “Schedule another Appointment” if you would like to add another.
IMPORTANT! This system does not block you or others from your firm from creating multiple appointments at the same time. Make sure you do not double book yourself/your firm or the administrators will cancel one of your appointments to open it for others.
